The assessment process may involve interviews with important people in the person’s life, direct observations in multiple environments, and record reviews. A formal written assessment and intervention plan will be reviewed with you and proposed for implementation to address specific behavioral goals. These interventions are appropriate for intense behavioral needs, the need for assistance in multiple settings, or when reducing or eliminating challenging behaviors requires skill building with several functional replacement behaviors. Intensive ABA services allow for direct 1:1 intensive intervention between an analyst and the person needing assistance with a parent or caregiver. Parents or Caregivers learn how to address challenging behaviors, how to assess appropriate replacement behaviors, and how to teach or provide motivation for those replacement behaviors.
