Serving the Central Valley

The behavioral services we provide are purchased by the Central
Valley Regional Center (CVRC), other independent agencies, and
private individuals for the benefit of people with developmental
disabilities. Services include varying intensity depending on the level
of need.

  • Parent Education: A behavioral therapist will conduct a
functional assessment with you targeting specific problem
behaviors and areas of need. The assessment process may
involve interviewing you and other important people in the
persons life, direct observations in multiple environments, and
record reviews. A formal written assessment and intervention
plan will be reviewed with you and proposed for
implementation to address specific behavioral goals. Services
are typically provided during weekly meetings, addressing a
few specific behavioral goals by educating parents and other
key social agents to use behavior analytic techniques. Services
are ended when behavioral goals are achieved.

  • Intensive Behavioral & Verbal Behavior Intervention:
For individuals on the Autism Spectrum, these services cater to
the intense behavioral and language needs of children with
Autism. Intervention targets 7 core areas of need with
individualized behavioral goals. The intent of this program is
early intervention with the goal of preparing children for the
academic environment and demands of a quality public
education. Services are ended when behavioral goals are
achieved. Transition planning from these programs to school
    programs are available
