​Position Overview
The Behavior Technician will implement behavior programs based on the scientific principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a Behavior Technician, you will assist in data collection for assessments, implement intervention activities according to the intervention plan written by your supervisor, demonstrate behavior analytic principles under the guidance of your supervisor with children and families, and monitor behavioral progress. Behavior technicians are in a growth position with training and supervision provided to develop a professional skill set that will help you progress in this field or other areas of social service. As a Behavior Technician, you are responsible for meeting productivity requirements provided in your annual contract and will access a database to assist you in self-monitoring your productivity. You will attend meetings and participate in on-going trainings and professional development opportunities.

  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities
  • An understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
  • Sound ethical judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to relate on a professional yet caring level with children and their families without crossing boundaries into friendships


  • 4 years (combined) of relevant education and experience or RBT Credential
  • Official transcripts of highest degree earned
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to pass background/fingerprint clearance, health screenings and provide/obtain immunizations including TB, and drug testing
  • Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver's license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • College degree
  • CPR certification
  • RBT certification
